Briggs and Stratton 331877The Briggs and Stratton 331877 Intek Plus Platinum is a 540 cc (32.9 cu·in) single-cylinder air-cooled four-stroke internal combustion gasoline engine, manufactured by Briggs and Stratton.

The B&S 331877 engine has an OHV (overhead) design and a vertical PTO shaft. This engine is equipped with float type carburetor, pulse type fuel pump and an electronic ignition system. The B&S 331877 engine used a paper air filter with a foam pre-cleaner. It is equipped with an electric starter (12V).

The cylinder bore is 94.0 mm (3.7 in) and the piston stroke is 77.8 mm (3.06 in). This engine produced 21.4 PS (15.7 KW; 21.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm of horsepower.

  3. i have a 331887 engine , but there is no way to adjust the valves .
    it appears to have hydralic lifters .
    how the hell do you adjust the valves .defective

    what is the difference between the two compression rings of the piston?
    I know that the second ring has a dot and that this dot is mounted up, the first ring does not have this dot and accidentally disassembled the first ring to measure the end gap and did not take sense in position, I look at the ring and see it is squared (faces with the diameter) Can it be mounted both sides up? Once again thank you very much
