Nissan Z20EThe Nissan Z20E is a 2.0 liter (1952 cc) straight-four, four-stroke cycle gasoline from Nissan Z-family. The Z20E engine was producted from 1979 through 1988.

The Nissan Z20E engine features a cast-iron block and aluminum alloy cylinder head with two ignition plugs per cylinder. It has a single overhead camshaft and 8 valves (2 per cylinder).

The Z20E engine was equipped with the EFI system. It had longer connecting rods and shorter compression-height pistons than the carbureted Z20S engine. The Z20E engine was not available in the 720 pickups, which only used carbureted versions.

All Nissan Z20E engines for the US domestic market was known as NAPS-Z (NAPZ or NAPS-Z Nissan Anti-Pollution System), NAPZ motors had a dual spark-plugs head. (two per cylinder).

The Z20E engine has an 85 mm (3.34 in) cylinder bore and 86 mm (3.38 in) piston stroke with a compression ratio of 8.5:1. It produced 99 HP (100 PS, 86 kW) at 5,200 rpm of horsepower and 167 Nm (17.0 kg·m, 123 ft-lb) at 3,600 rpm of torque.

The Z20E engine has a cast-iron cylinder block, bore is 85 mm (3.34 in) and stroke is 86 mm (3.38 in). The cylinder block, a monoblock specially cast structure, employs the five bearing support system. The pistons are each fitted with two compression rings and a single oil ring.
