Nissan VE30DEThe Nissan VE30DE is a 3.0 l (2,960 cc, 180.62 cu.in.) natural aspirated V6 54° 4-stroke gasoline engine from Nissan VE-family. The engine was producted from 1991 to 1994.

The VE30DE features cast-iron block and two aluminum heads with dual overhead camshafts (DOHC) and four valves per cylinder. The Nissan VE30DE engine is equipped with variable valve timing on the intake camshafts, multi-point fuel injection and coil-on-plug ignition. This engine redlines at 6600 rpm.

Cylinder head

The cylinder head is made of strong, light aluminum alloy which gives it good cooling efficiency. The engine is equipped with Variable Valve Timing system for intake cams. The camshafts are driven by single primary and two secondary chains.

The intake valve diameter is 35.0 mm (1.38 in), the exhaust valve diameter is 30.5 mm (1.20 in), the duration is 248&deg for both side. The VE30DE is equipped with a hydraulic lash adjuster.
