The Kawasaki FC290V is a 286 cc (17.45 cu-in) single-cylinder air-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion small gasoline engine with vertical shaft manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries LTd., for general-purpose applications.
The FC290V engine has an OHV (overhead valve) design; cast-iron cylinder liner; reciprocating balancer; float type carburetor with fixed main jet; flywheel magneto transistor type ignition system; mechanical governor; low tone muffler; recoil starter with an automatic compression release. The engine could be equipped with an electric starter and 12V (3A, 5A or 13A) charging coil. The engine uses a semi cyclone-type air cleaner with a dual element and splash type lubrication system.
Bore and stroke are 78.0 mm (3.07 in) and 60.0 mm (2.36 in), respectively. Compression ratio rating is 8.4:1. The Kawasaki FC290V motor produced 9.1 PS (6.7 kW; 9 HP) at 3,600 rpm of horsepower and 18.7 Nm (1.91 kg·m; 13.8 ft·lb) at 2,400 rpm of torque.

Kawasaki FC290V where is the oil filter? I’ve looked at schematics and torn my John Deere GX75 apart looking for it. Does a splash lubricating engine not have an oil filter?
Got the exact same model as you and I can confirm there’s no oil filter.
No splash does not have an oil filter
Does it have points?
