The GM X20SED is a 2.0 l (1,998 cc, 121.93 cu-in) straight-four 4-stroke natural aspirated gasoline small-displacement engine from of the GM Family II engines, developed by Holden and used in the Daewoo Nubira and Leganza.
The GM X20SED engine uses a cast-iron engine block with a cast-iron crankshaft and aluminum head with dual overhead camshafts (DOHC) and four valves per cylinder (16 valves in total). This engine is equipped with the Multi-port fuel injection system and a direct ignition system (DIS).
It has an 86.0 mm (3.39 in) cylinder bore and 86.0 mm (3.39 in) piston stroke. Compression ratio rating is 9.6:1. The X20SED engine produces 133 PS (98 kW; 131 HP) of maximum horsepower and 184 Nm (18.77 kg·m; 135.79 ft·lb) of peak torque.
The breakdown of the engine code is as follows:
- X – Euro 2 engine
- 20 – 2.0 Liter displacement
- S – Comression ratio from 9.5 a 10:1
- E – Multi Point Fuel Injection system
- D
