Toyota 1FZ-FEThe Toyota 1FZ-FE is a 4.5 L (4,476 cc, 273.14 cu·in) straight-six, four-stroke cycle natural aspirated gasoline engine. It was manufactured by the Toyota Motor Corporation from 1986 to 1992.

The Toyota 1FZ-FE engine features a cast-iron block and aluminum cylinder head with dual chain-driven overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder (24 in total). The 1FZ-FE is equipped with an electronic fuel injection system and ignition system with a mechanical distributor. In 1998 the engine was equipped with the distributorless electronic ignition system. It has a 100.0 mm (3.94 in) cylinder bore and 95.0 mm (3.74 in) piston stroke. Compression ratio rating is 9.0:1.

This engine produced 215 PS (158 kW; 212 HP) at 4,600 rpm or 243 PS (179 kW; 240 HP) at 4,600 rpm of maximum horsepower and 373 N·m (38 kg·m, 274.9 ft·lb) at 3,200 rpm or 407 N·m (41.5 kg·m, 300 ft·lb) at 3,600 rpm of peak torque.

Cylinder block

The cylinder block, a monoblock specially cast structure, employs the seven bearing support system. The pistons are aluminum casting. Cylinder head

The cylinder head is made of a light, strong aluminum alloy with good cooling efficiency. Camshafts are made of specially cast steel and are driven by the timing chain. The intake camshaft is driven by a single roller chain, and the exhaust camshaft is driven by a scissor gear off the intake camshaft.

The 1FZ-FE engine had four valves per cylinder. Intake duration of 225 degrees and exhaust duration of 225 degrees.

    I have a 1FZ-FE 4477CC petrol engine. The vehicle model FZJ105R.
    This vehicle is an automatic petrol as I stated. Can I remove this engine and fit in an Automatic Diesel.
    The same engine family. Same transmission. Want to improve economy from Petrol to Diesel.
    Is this conversion possible.
    I will really appreciate your professional advice and recommendation on the Diesel model choice for my model vehicle.
