Toyota 2L-TE

Toyota 2L-TEThe Toyota 2L-TE is a 2.4 L (2,446 cc, 149.3 cu·in) four cylinders, four-stroke cycle water-cooled turbocharged internal combustion diesel engine, manufactured by the Toyota Motor Corporation.

The 2L-TE engine has a cast-iron cylinder block with 92.0 mm (3.62 in) cylinder bores and a 92.0 mm (3.62 in) piston stroke. Compression ratio rating was 21:1. The motor has a cast iron cylinder head with a single overhead camshaft (SOHC) with two valves per cylinder. The 2L-TE is equipped with EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) system. Due to the EFI system, the 2L-TE engine develops significantly more torque than its predecessor 2L-T.

The Toyota 2L-TE produced 97 PS (71 kW, 96 HP) at 3,800 rpm of maximum horsepower and 221 Nm (22.5 kg⋅m, 163 ft·lb) at 2,400 rpm of maximum torque. Redline of this engine is at 4,800 rpm.

The breakdown of the engine code is as follows:

  • 2 – 2nd generation engine
  • L – Engine family
  • T – Turbocharged
  • E – EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) system

  3. I am looking for a 12 pin female connector/wiring plug for 2LTE A/T Engine Control Computer part number 89661-60110. I need the dark grey connector with the wiring if available if not at least the plastic body that snaps into the computer (I have pins & wiring). The wiring feeds the Tach, A/c switch/Ignition signal, glow plugs, Battery power, Turbo lamp & speed sensor. Any help with this would be appriciated on where I can find it.
