The Kohler K482 is a 781 cc, (47.7 cu·in) twin-cylinder air-cooled four-stroke internal combustion gasoline engine from K-series, manufactured by Kohler Co.
The Kohler K482 engine has an L-head (side valve) design, horizontal PTO-shaft, and pressurized lubrication system with a positive pressure oil pump. This engine is equipped with side-draft carburetor and battery ignition systems. The K482 engine used paper air cleaner (oiled foam pre-cleaner was available as an option) and full flow type oil filter.
The cylinder bore is 82.6 mm (3.25 in) and the piston stroke is 73.0 mm (2.87 in). This engine produced 18.2 PS (13.4 kW; 18.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm of horsepower.
