The Honda GCV160 is an 160 cc (9.8 cu-in) single-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke, internal combustion gasoline engine with vertical shaft, manufactured by Honda Motor Company since 1997 for general-purpose applications such as: pressure washers, lawn mowers, agricultural equipment, forestry equipment.
This engine has a single-cylinder, compact combustion chamber, tough resin overhead cam for durability and quietness and uniblock construction reduce fuel consumption. The Honda GCV160 engine has transistorized magneto ignition, horizontal type carburetor, and recoil starter.
Cylinder bore and piston stroke are 64.0 mm (2.5 in) and 50.0 mm (2.0 in), respectively. The compression ratio rating is 8.5:1.
The GCV160 engine produces 4.5 PS (3.3 KW; 4.4 HP) at 3,600 rpm of max output power and 9.4 Nm (0.96 kg·m; 6.94 lbf·ft) at 2,500 rpm of peak torque .

What is the oil weight and capacity for the pump mechanism?
Just a heads up. Specs from Honda State horse power is 4.4 at 3600 RPM not 5.4

do you know if the GVC 160-G5MF and the GCV 160-LA0N5B have the same base configuration?
Automatic carburetor or chokes sucks. I bought 2 mowers with this honda engine thinking honda was top of the line. Run mower for 5 minutes. Stop to pick something up and the mower runs terrible until it sits and cools down half hour or so. Not at all efficient to get the job done

Why does this site list a compression ratio of 8.5:1 in the cylinder block and head section, but then list compression as 71 psi in the service section?
Because the compression ratio and cylinder compression pressure are two different indicators.
Ref the spark plug BPR6ES. Note the following (from the Honda Owners Manual GCV160)……

My Lawnmower came with the NGK BPR6ES. Probably 10 years old or so.
GCV160 GJAEA-1290311 / Does anyone know the PTO bearing (oil pan) STD and Reject specification? I need to figure out if the oil plan bearing is still in spec after a bent crankshaft. Waiting on Honda Service Manual for the GCV160.
