Kawasaki FA210D

Kawasaki FA210DThe Kawasaki FA210D is a 207 cc (12.67 cu.in.) 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-coolled internal combustion small gasoline engine with horizontal shaft for eneral-purpose applications.

The Kawasaki FA210D engine has a slide-valve (L-head) design and crankshaft made of heat-treated ductile iron integrated with counter-balance weights and camshaft drive gear. The piston is made of hard-chrome plated aluminum alloy and equipped with two compression rings including silicon carbide plated top ring and one oil control ring. Main bearings are: on P.T.O. side, ball bearing; on magneto side, lead bronze sintered alloy plain bearing with steel back metal. Valves are made of forged 21-4N austenitic stainless steel for exhaust valve and forged heat-resisting steel for intake valve.

The FA210D engine has a recoil starter, mechanical fly-weight type governor, pulse pump type carburetor, with idle mixture adjustment and magneto ignition system with waterproof molded ignition coil and dustproof breaker point enclosure. The electronic ignition system was available as an option.

The engine a compression ratio rating is 6.4:1. Bore and stroke are 72.0 mm (2.83 in) and 51.0 mm (2.01 in), respectively. The FA210D motor produced 5.2 HP at 4,000 rpm of maximum horsepower and 10.4 Nm (1.09 kg·m, 7.88 ft·lb) at 3,200 rpm of maximum torque.
