Kawasaki FC150V

Kawasaki FC150VThe Kawasaki FC150V is a 153 cc (9.3 cu-in) single-cylinder air-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion small gasoline engine with vertical shaft manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries LTd., for general-purpose applications.

The FC150V engine has an OHV (overhead valve) design; cast-iron cylinder liner; float type carburetor with fixed main jet; flywheel magneto transistor type ignition system; mechanical governor; recoil starter with automatic compression release and low tone muffler. The engine uses a dual-element air cleaner and splash type lubrication system.

It has a 65.0 mm (2.56 in) cylinder bore and 46.0 mm (1.81 in) piston stroke. Compression ratio rating is 8.5:1. The Kawasaki FC150V motor produced 5.0 PS (3.7 kW; 5.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm of horsepower and 10.7 Nm (1.09 kg·m; 7.9 ft·lb) at 2,400 rpm of torque.

ATTENTION! Dear visitors, this site is not a trading platform, an official dealer or a spare parts supplier, so we do not have any price lists or spare parts catalogs. We are an information portal and provide the technical specifications of gasoline and diesel engines.

We try to use verified sources and official documentation, however, differences between sources or errors in entering information may occur. We do not provide advice on technical issues related to the engines operation or repair. We do not recommend using provided information for engines repairing engines or spare parts ordering, use only official service manuals and spare-parts catalogs.

  1. This engine has pressure lubrication not splash even though there’s no oil filter which can purchased if desired

    • But in all available official documentation, the lubrication system is designated as “Splash lubrication system”

      • I think some of these that went on lower end model mowers were slash and the higher ones like my John Deere 14sb had pressure lube since it says it has it and I can buy a oil filter adapter

  2. I have oil leaking from a small hole on the bottom side of the crankcase. Before I tear it apart, can anyone tell me what may be causing this?
