Kawasaki FH480VThe Kawasaki FH480V is a 0.47 l (472 cc, 28.8 cu-in) V-twin 90° air-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion small gasoline engine with vertical shaft, manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries LTd., for general-purpose applications.

The FH480V has vertical PTO shaft; V-twin 90° design with cast iron cylinder liners and overhead valves (OHV). The engine is equipped with float type carburetor with fixed main jet; pulse type fuel pump and electronic spark ignition system. The Kawasaki FH480V uses a full pressure lubrication system with spin-on oil filter and dual element air cleaner.

The engine uses an automatic compression release (ACR) system and recoil or electric starter (12V solenoid shift starter or bendix starter are available as an option).

Cylinder bore and the piston stroke is 68 mm (2.68 in) and 65 mm (2.56 in), respectively. Compression ratio rating is 9.0:1. The Kawasaki FH480V produced 16.2 PS (11.9 kW; 16.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm and 37.9 Nm (3.9 kg·m; 28.0 ft·lb) at 2,400 rpm of torque.
