Kawasaki FH661V

The Kawasaki FH661V is a 0.68 l (675 cc, 41.19 cu-in) V-twin 90° air-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion small gasoline engine with vertical shaft, manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries LTd., for general-purpose applications.

The FH661V has V-twin 90° design with cast iron cylinder liners and overhead V-valves (OHV). The engine is equipped with twin-barrel, float type carburetor with fixed main jet; pulse type fuel pump and flywheel magneto transistor type ignition system. The Kawasaki FH661V uses a full pressure lubrication system with spin-on oil filter and dual element air cleaner.

The engine has BENDIX type electric starter and 12V-13A charging coil with a regulator.

Cylinder bore and piston stroke are 72.5 mm (2.85 in) and 76.0 mm (2.99 in), respectively. Compression ratio rating is 8.1:1. The Kawasaki FH661V produced 22.3 PS (16.4 kW; 22.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm.

    How do I change the oil pump on aKawasaki FH661V ? Can an guy with basic skills attempt it?

  2. The convenience oil change device popped open while the engine was in use and drained the engine of oil. Engine seized up. Will a new crank shaft connecting rods and pistons fix it? Or is there likely crank shaft bearings or cylinder wall issues to deal with. I believe the cylinder walls are steel sleeve in these motors. 801 857 8126

  3. Little more elaborate product specs opposed to other sites, except the shaft sizes, i.e. the one thing I came for.
