Kawasaki FH680V

Kawasaki FH680VThe Kawasaki FH680V is a 0.68 l (675 cc, 41.19 cu-in) V-twin 90° air-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion small gasoline motor with vertical shaft, manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries LTd., for general-purpose applications.

The FH680V has vertical PTO shaft; V-twin 90° design with cast iron cylinder liners and overhead valves (OHV). The engine is equipped with float type carburetor with fixed main jet; pulse type fuel pump and flywheel magneto transistor type ignition system.

The Kawasaki FH680V uses a full pressure lubrication system with spin-on oil filter and dual element air cleaner. The engine was equipped with BENDIX type electric starter and 12V-13A charging coil with a regulator.

Cylinder bore and piston stroke are 72.5 mm (2.85 in) and 76 mm (2.99 in), respectively. Compression ratio rating is 8.1:1. The Kawasaki FH680V develops 23.4 PS (17.2 kW; 23.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm and 54.0 Nm (5.5 kg·m; 39.8 ft·lb) at 2,400 rpm of torque.

    • Swap your spark plugs if misfire follows spark plug then bad spark plug. If not then swap your coils around. If the misfire follows the coil then bad coil. Kawasaki seems to have an unusually high number of coil failures.
