Kohler ECV860

Kohler ECV860The Kohler ECV860 is a 824 cc, (50.3 cu·in) V-twin air-cooled four-stroke internal combustion gasoline engine from the Command PRO EFI series, manufactured by Kohler Co.

The Kohler ECV860 engine has an OHV (overhead valve) design, an aluminum block with cast iron cylinder liners, a vertical PTO-shaft, pressurized lubrication system. This engine is equipped with an EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) system and electronic ignition system, an electronic governor or a mechanical governor.

The cylinder bore and the piston stroke are 86.0 mm (3.40 in) and 71.0 mm (2.80 in), respectively. Compression ratio rating is 8.9:1.

The Kohler ECV860 engine produced 29.4 PS (21.6 KW; 29.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm of horsepower and 64.1 Nm (6.5 kg·m; 47.3 ft·lb) of peak torque.

The breakdown of the engine code is as follows:

  • E – EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection)
  • C – Command series
  • V – Vertical PTO shaft
  • 860 – Numerical designation
