The Kohler ECV940 is a 999 cc, (61.0 cu·in) V-twin air-cooled four-stroke internal combustion gasoline engine from the Command PRO EFI series, manufactured by Kohler Co.
The Kohler ECV940 engine has an OHV (overhead valve) design, an aluminum block with cast iron cylinder liners, vertical PTO-shaft, pressurized lubrication system. This engine is equipped with an EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) system and an electronic ignition system.
Cylinder bore and piston stroke are 90.0 mm (3.54 in) and 78.5 mm (3.09 in), respectively. Compression ratio rating is 8.8:1.
