Kohler K90

Kohler K90The Kohler K90 is a 145 cc (8.86 cu·in) single-cylinder air-cooled four-stroke internal combustion gasoline engine from K-series, manufactured by Kohler Co.

The Kohler K90 engine has an aluminum cylinder head, cast-iron cylinder liners, and horizontal PTO-shaft. The engine used heat-treated alloy steel forging crankshaft with integral counterweight and anti-friction ball bearings on both sides of the crankshaft, aluminum alloy connecting rod and low expansion aluminum alloy pistons. This engine was equipped with float feed, adjustable type carburetor, and high-voltage flywheel magneto ignition. The K90 engine used an oil bath air cleaner.

The cylinder bore is 60.33 mm (2.38 in) and the piston stroke is 50.80 mm (2 in). This engine produced 3.7 PS (2.7 kW; 3.6 HP) at 3,600 rpm of horsepower.

The breakdown of the engine code is as follows:

  • K – K-series
  • 9 – Approximate daisplacement (cu·in)
  • Suffix (engine is available with the following options):
    T – Retractable starter;
    P – Pump model;
    R – Reduction gear (6:1);
