Kohler SV840The Kohler SV840 is a 725 cc, (44.2 cu·in) V-twin air-cooled four-stroke internal combustion gasoline engine from the Courage PRO series, manufactured by Kohler Co. This engine was designed for heavy-duty commercial use.

The Kohler SV840 engine has an OHV (overhead valve) design, vertical PTO-shaft, heat-treated bearings, and a pressurized lubrication system. This engine is equipped with a carburetor with a fixed main jet and one of three ignition systems: Fixed Ignition System, Digital Spark Advance Ignition (DSAI), Digital Spark Advance Module (DSAM). This engine is equipped with large-capacity professional filters: 60% larger air and oil filters and 70% larger fuel filter than the Courage-series.

The cylinder bore is 83.0 mm (3.27 in) and the piston stroke is 67.0 mm (2.64 in). The compression ratio rating is 9.0:1. This engine produced 27.3 PS (20.1 KW; 27.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm of horsepower and 61.5 Nm (6.3 kg·m; 45.4 ft·lb) at 2,400 rpm of torque.
