Kohler XTR-6

Kohler XTR-6The Kohler XTR-6 is a 149 cc (9.1 cu·in) single-cylinder air-cooled four-stroke internal combustion gasoline engine from the Courage XT-series, manufactured by Kohler Co.

The Kohler XTR-6 engine has an OHV (overhead valve) design, an aluminum block with cast iron cylinder liners, vertical PTO-shaft, splash type lubrication system. This engine is equipped with a fixed main jet carburetor and dependable electronic magneto ignition system.

A 65.0 (2.60) cylinder bore and 45.0 mm (1.80 in) piston stroke give the XT6 engine a total of 149 cc of displacement. The compression ratio rating is 9.2:1.

This engine produces 3.8 PS (2.8 KW; 3.8 HP) at 3,600 rpm of horsepower and 8.5 Nm (0.87 kg·m; 6.3 ft·lb) at 2,800 rpm of peak torque.

The breakdown of the engine code is as follows:

  • XT – XT-series
  • R – Electric starter
  • 6 – 6.00 lb-ft of peak torque
