Nissan GA14DEThe Nissan GA14DE is an inline 1.4 liter (1,392 cc; 84.94 cu.in.) four-cylinder, four-stroke cycle, liquid-cooled gasoline engine from the Nissan GA-family, utilizing cast iron for the block and aluminum alloy for the cylinder head.

It is equipped with Multi-Point Fuel Injection system. It has a double overhead camshaft (DOHC) driving sixteen valves.

A 73.6 mm (2.90 in) cylinder bore and 81.8 mm (3.22 in) piston stroke give the engine a total of 1.4 L of displacement. It produces 64.0 kW (87.0 PS, 86.0 HP) at 6,000 rpm and 116.0 Nm (11.83 kg·m; 85.61 lbf·ft) at 4,000 rpm of peak torque. The compression ratio rating is 9.5:1. Redline is at 7,200 rpm.

The GA14DE motor was produced from 1992 through 2001. It was used in the Nissan Sunny N14, Nissan Sentra B14 (EX models in the Philippines), Almera/Pulsar N15.

Cylinder head

The engine has an aluminum cylinder head with two chain-driven overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder (16 valves in total). The Nissan GA14DE is reliable and durable. The engine has two timing chains, their service life is about 150,000 miles of mileage (200,000-250,000 km).
