Nissan VH41DE

Nissan VH41DEThe Nissan VH41DE is a 4.1 L (4,130 cc, 252.03 cu·in) natural aspirated V8 90° four-stroke gasoline engine from Nissan VH-family. The engine was producted since 1991 to 2001.

The VH41DE used lightweight V8 90° aluminum block with the five-bearings crankshaft and two aluminum heads with two one-piece cast camshafts (DOHC) and four valves per cylinder (32 valves in total). The VH41DE has VTC (Variable Valve Timing Control) system on intake shafts and ignition system with individual coils on each spark plug.

Compression ratio rating is 10.5:1. Cylinder bore and piston stroke are 93.0 mm (3.66 in) and 76.0 mm (2.99 in), respectively. The engine produced 271 PS (199 kW; 267 HP) at 5,600 rpm of peak horsepower. The maximum torque is 377 N·m (38.4 kg·m, 277.8 ft·lb) at 4,000 rpm.

The breakdown of the engine code is as follows:

  • VH – Engine Family
  • 41 – 4.1 Liter Displacement
  • D – DOHC (Dual Overhead Camshafts)
  • E – Multi Point Fuel Injection
