The Rato 50CC engine uses CDI (capacitance discharge ignition system), the centrifugal automatic clutch to smoothen the gearshift and improve the driving comfortableness, kick starter and 4-speed gearbox.
The engine cylinder bore is 39 mm (1.54 in) and piston stroke is 41.4 mm (1.63 in). The 50CC (RW139FMB) produced 2.7 PS (2.0 KW; 2.7 HP) at 7,500 rpm of maximum horsepower and 2.5 Nm (0.26 kg·m; 1.85 ft·lb) at 5,500 rpm of torque .
