The Toyota 7M-GE is a 3.0 L (2,954 cc, 180.26 cu·in) straight-six, four-stroke cycle natural aspirated gasoline engine from the Toyota M-family. The engine was manufactured by the Toyota Motor Corporation from 1986 to 1992.
The Toyota 7M-GE engine features a cast-iron block, aluminum cylinder head with dual belt-driven overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder (24 in total). The 7M-GE is equipped with an electronic fuel injection system. It has an 83.0 mm (3.27 in) cylinder bore and 91.0 mm (3.58 in) piston stroke. Compression ratio rating is 9.1:1.
This engine produced from 193 PS (142 kW; 190 HP) at 6,000 rpm to 207 PS (152 kW; 204 HP) at 6,000 rpm of horsepower and from 250 N·m (25.5 kg·m, 184.3 ft·lb) at 4,800 rpm to 265 N·m (27 kg·m, 195.3 ft·lb) at 4,800 rpm of peak torque.
The breakdown of the engine code is as follows:
- 7 – 7 generation engine
- M – Engine family
- G – Performance wide-angle DOHC
- E – Multi-Point Fuel Injection
